About 6-INCH GORE-TEX® MOC IN RUSSET WATERPROOF LEATHERWhen selecting care products, be mindful of their impact on the leather's breathability. Among all Red Wing shoe care products, Leather Cream is the optimal maintenance method, as it has minimal effects on the leather's breathability.
As a general guideline, you may use a brush to remove dirt. Although we advise against using Foam Leather Cleaner due to its potential to weaken the leather's waterproof qualities, it can be employed for cleaning stubborn dirt that cannot be brushed away. After cleaning, apply Leather Protector once the leather is dry.
The waterproof feature on #8864 is attributed to the lining's membrane rather than the waterproof leather. Consequently, even if the leather's waterproof function diminishes, the shoes' overall waterproof membrane functionality is preserved. The use of waterproof spray is not strictly necessary; however, if the leather starts to noticeably absorb water, apply Leather Protector to rejuvenate its waterproof properties
