Worn or uneven soles
Visible wear, reduced grip or uneven contact with the ground may indicate that the sole needs assessment.
One of the reasons Red Wing Heritage is built to last is its repairable construction. Crafted from premium leather with timeless design and authentic American craftsmanship, many Red Wing Heritage boots can be resoled and repaired, extending their life for years to come.
Well-made footwear deserves considered care. Repair can preserve the character earned through years of wear, but every pair must first be assessed for repairability.
Know When to Repair
Early assessment can help prevent further wear. These signs indicate that it may be time to bring your footwear to our team.
Visible wear, reduced grip or uneven contact with the ground may indicate that the sole needs assessment.
Open seams or damaged welt stitching should be reviewed before the affected area deteriorates further.
Loose eyelets, speed hooks or other fittings may be repairable depending on the surrounding leather.

Repair Questions
No. Repairability depends on the product construction, condition and available compatible materials. The team must inspect the footwear before confirming any work.
A quotation is provided only after the team and appointed repair specialist have assessed the footwear and identified suitable work.
Please remove loose dirt and submit the footwear clean and dry. Do not apply fresh care products immediately before assessment.
We will use genuine Red Wing components whenever they are available and suitable for the repair. If genuine components are unavailable, we will explain the available alternatives and obtain your approval before proceeding.
Please note that replacement components, including genuine Red Wing parts, may differ from the original components due to product updates, availability, age, wear, or material variation. As a result, the appearance, fit, feel, colour, texture, or performance of the repaired footwear may not be exactly the same as when it was new or used.
All repair options remain subject to inspection, component availability, and technical suitability.
